The Victorian Society for Computers and the Law invites you to join us for a conversation with Trisha Lee, the Head of Data Risk and Compliance at ANZ Bank. Our discussion with Trisha will focus on Trisha's role as a data governance officer and why she considers it important for lawyers to understand how they can assist organisations in setting up a holistic data governance framework for the management of data assets, as opposed to  focusing merely on legal compliance with the requirements of the Privacy Act.

Trisha will share her insights on how organisations are increasingly moving towards implementing data stewardship programs for managing how they build, use and protect their data assets. She will speak to the VSCL on the insights she has gleaned from building organisation-wide data governance frameworks through collaboration with multiple stakeholders, including commercial, legal and data governance teams, both at ANZ and as part of working within the technology and risk services team at EY.

Location: Maddocks, Tower Two, Level 25, 727 Collins Street Melbourne

Date: Thursday 9 November from 1:00pm to 2:00pm (lunch included)
